The recipe
2 oz Vodka
2 tbsp berries (I used fresh raspberries)
1/4 oz simple syrup*
Lime or Lemon wedges
Add the berries, simple syrup, and lemon to a cocktail shaker and Muddle. Add ice and vodka, shake it up all nice, and pour into whatever glass your little heart desires (the book said a rocks glass with ice, but I clearly used something completely different. Who cares, right?). Garnish with a raspberry skewer and lemon wedge, if you're feeling fancy.
*To make simple syrup, boil equal parts sugar and water in a saucepan until the sugar dissolves, then refrigerate.

This sounds and looks so delicious and refreshing.
ReplyDeleteI take no credit for the recipe, so I don't feel bad saying that it was! I added more simple syrup though, so you could barely taste the alcohol. Just raspberry goodness :)
DeleteYum! :)

Try some elderflower syrup next time. I think that would make this drink even more amazing :) I usually get it at Ikea if there is one close to me.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds amazing! I live pretty close to an Ikea, too. Thanks :)
DeleteHope they were as successful as they look!
