Montreal BioDome

While In Montreal for our little vacation, my boyfriend and I visited the Biodome. The biodome is basically a zoo, but instead of all the animals being behind bars, it is several gigantic ecosystems of animals all living and interacting with each other, with people walking through the middle (If a monkey decided to fling his poop at you, he could. I thought about this many times as I walked through....). Neither of us had ever been before, and weren't sure what to expect, but they had three ecosystems - Tropical, Northern, and Laurentian Forest. Each one was completely different, and very educational.

Tropical

 Northern

Laurentian Forest

My boyfriend was using my Rebel XT with the zoom lens, so I was using my Canon T50 with no zoom what-soever. An interesting experience! What is your favorite part about zoos? Do you have a favorite animal to see when you go? Shot with Lomo CN 400 Film & Canon T50 Camera

  1. Looks amazing - love zoos! Those penguins...so cute! Best one we've been to is in Palm Springs "The Living Desert". Fed a giraffe...all sorts of cool when you get to do that!

Totally dating myself here..whenever I think of Bio Dome, I think of Pauly Shore.

    1. you got to feed a giraffe!? That is freaking awesome. There weren't any big animals here, unfortunately.
No Idea who Pauly Shore is. I'll go google it/him/her haha.

  3. Fun!

Now that we have Maile, my favorite part of going to the zoo is definitely seeing the way she reacts to the animals; it gives the experience new life and meaning. :)

    1. hahaha That monkey was a little mischievous guy. Kept running around really close to people and hopping over top. I think he'd probably be the one to throw poop, cheeky thing.
