A Film Photography and Fashion Blog

Toronto, Canada

This past week my Boyfriend and I headed to Toronto for a little anniversary trip. I lived in Toronto for two year while I was in College the first time, and from living there I have definitely learned that I am not a City person. While I don't like living there, visiting (and shopping) is quite all right with me. Unfortunately, I had my first film "disaster" and although I shot two rolls while I was there, only about 20 photos actually turned out. Ah well, you live and you learn!

We had a pretty great time, and our hostel was right in Kensington Market. I highly recommend it, as it had the most incredible roof-top patio, and was super clean and safe (it was called Planet Traveler). Unfortunately none of my photos from Kensington turned out, so you'll have to take my word for it when I say that its the coolest part of Toronto! Lots of vintage stores ans nifty shops.

  1. Awesome photos! Love the one of the Toronto skyline.
And you're not alone.... I'm realizing I'm not a city girl either.

  2. Woo hoo! Toronto REPRESENT! Ha-ha-ha!

Absolutely LOVE Kensington, though I must admit, I'm pretty partial to Leslieville (where I just moved to:) MUCH slower vibe, tons of awesome little restaurants to go, and the best icecream in the city.

  7. I hate when the film messes up in the camera or it gets messed up before development, you still got some good ones though!

    1. You don't have an email linked to your blogger, so I'll respond to you here and hope you see it! haha, but yeah its pretty heartbreaking! This was totally my fault though, I was trying to load film while walking and I didn't get it caught in the wheel properly...I should have noticed when the film advance lever was so easy to pull, but....I didn't. sigh.
oh well, I'll be very careful next time!

  9. I was just in Kensington last night helping a friend find a Halloween costume. It is such a cool (but super random) place! I can't remember the name of the restaurant but there is a little mexican place right as your leaving the main Kensington area and there tacos are the BEST. If you didn't get them this time, next time check them out!
