Photography Friday 11

Welcome to the Photography Friday Blog hop! This is a blog linkup that focuses on Photography, at any skill level or experience. Each week we want to encourage you to get out and take some photos! It doesn't matter what Camera you have - an iPhone, a DSLR, a film camera, an instax - Just get out and press that shutter! Blog about your photographic awesomeness and link up here to share it every friday. If you'd like feedback on something, leave a comment asking what you'd like to know and your host will be happy to provide you with some.

We put up our tree this week, but other than that, I've mostly been studying for upcoming exams, and being sick. Not my idea of fun what-so-ever, let me tell you. Hope you guys had a better week than I !

Each week we will choose a new Photographer to be featured! To be considered for next week, please link up your photography post below and make sure you are following your hosts & co-hosts. These two things will qualify you for being a featured photographer!

Brooke from You're in Brookelynn Shared this incredibly cool photo manupulation. I have zero clue how she did it, but I think its pretty darn neat, don't you?

001. Please follow your host/co-hosts and featured photographer!
002. Link up your blog post instead of your main blog URL.
003. Please link back to this link-up in your post, either with a text link or a button. The more people who link up each week means more people see your work, so please help us out any way you can :)
004. Visit and check out as many blogs as you can! Leave comments and love. This link-up is about community, so make some friends!

  1. Your photos are so cozy! Love that Christmas tree photo. I'm trying to figure out how to photograph a big outdoor holiday light display at night with a DSLR -- and kids who won't hold still. :) Have a great weekend!

  3. I agree with Linda... very cozy photos. Photos of my furry children near the Christmas tree are always my favorite. :)

  4. haha, I suggest a tripod! Lol night shots are hard for me because I'm so wriggly and hyper most of the time (kind of like a kid!).

  5. haha, Furry children. I love it! My cat is definitely a good model (most of the time). I bet dogs would be much more obedient, though!

  10. the surprise on your cats face in that last photo is hilarious! I've tried (unsuccessfully mind you) to get pics of our cats together near the tree/under it.

  13. haha she's a cutie, but she's a very needy little fur-ball.

  14. haha It was a lot of trial-and-error and this wasn't exactly what I was trying to do, but a tripod & shutter release remote and definite musts for anything low-light! I opened my Aperture as wide as it would go (only 3.5 for my lens) and then played around with the shutter speed until I got a nice exposure. Its fun to play around!

  15. funnily enough, that is what she looks like in every photo ever! It's her photo face, apparently. No matter what I do, she looks surprised! so funny.

  16. I have a question about this. Do they have to be yet-unpublished photos or can I pick some of my favorites from things I already posted?

  17. The rules are: there are no rules! haha it doesn't matter. Preferably they would be photos you haven't published all together recently, but choosing and compiling favorites from past posts is just fine by me :) I understand that sometimes life gets in the way and not everyone can get out and take photos every single week.
