Vancouver Part 2 - Granville Island & Flying!

This is Part two of my trip to Vancouver, so if you haven't read part one, you can get caught up Here. On the second half of my trip I got to see a lot of the city, since the conference didn't go as long the last day (friday), and we had a free day Saturday to do whatever we wanted before catching our overnight flight home.

We went to Granville island on Friday and wandered around a bit, since I had promised my friend I would bring him back candied salmon...that, and I just really love it there! Definitely one of my favourite parts of Vancouver.

On Saturday my friend Dave terrified me took me flying, since he can do that (so casually, too...). My neighbours husband died in a small plane crash when I was younger so I have a fear of tiny planes....not going to lie, I was incredibly scared for the first few minutes, but turns out he actually know what he's doing. Whew. It was incredibly beautiful being able to see the mountains so up close and see the entire city...definitely one of the most awesome things I've had the opportunity to do. Definitely glad I brought my camera along for that, haha.

On the way back to the city we stopped in Steveston, a little fishing town somewhere outside of Vancouver (honestly, I have no idea...this was not my brilliant idea). I have a ton of photos from there, so I shall share those in another post. Thanks so much for reading!
