As you may recall from my last post, I travelled to Orlando, Florida with my family for "spring break" (we call it reading week here in Canada). My favourite part about this trip was, hands down, the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. We actually spent two days here - The first was bright and sunny and incredibly busy, and the second was muggy and overcast...and not quite as busy.
The main ride is inside the Hogwarts castle, and is absolutely incredible. I don't want to give anything away in case you haven't been, but I would recommend not bringing anything with you (eg. backpacks, big cameras) as you have to put it all in lockers which are very crowded and tiny. I managed to smash my film camera the first day we were there, so we made sure to leave all the backpacks at home on day two and travel light. It made life much simpler.
On the second day we went on the dragon roller coaster twice, as there are two sides - one 'chinese fireball' and one 'hungarian horntail' - and both are different. We didn't get a chance to do it on day one as the ride broke (twice...both times while we were in line) and we had a bunch of stuff with us, so my poor Dad was feeling a bit sick after doing all three rides right after the other. Oops.
It was incredibly busy in this part of the park. It was very difficult to get photos because you would always have a million heads in the way, so please excuse the strange angles.
