Three years ago I moved into a house with two huge gardens. The first year, the lovely lady that lived here before us had enough flowers planted that the garden just sort of took care of itself. I weeded it a bit, but figured that if there were green things growing, it was all good. Apparently my Condo manager did not share the same sentiments, and so last year I had to get my act together and learn what the difference between a weed and a flower were. Tricky stuff, I know, but I think I got it down ;) I actually quite enjoyed planting and taking care of my garden, and I'm looking forward to adding to it.
This year, however, I want to start a vegetable garden in the back yard- a challenge that my room-mate attempted last year. Sadly, she's moving out next month, so the challenge has been handed over to me... And I have no damn clue what to do with it. I don't know the first thing about growing vegetables, and success with house plants has not been comforting. I'm eager to try, though, so if you have any tips/resources that helped you as a beginner, please send them my way! I'll need all the help I can get.
Do you garden? If so, what is your favourite part of having one?
