New Office Tour!

Getting my "office" finished has been on my to-do list for a little under 6 months now. I have a spare room beside my bedroom that I've been meaning to do something with for ages, but it sat all sad and barren with a single desk in it for 6 months for really no good reason. I finally had the time to buy some furniture (and put it together, because lets face it, everything I own is from Ikea). I didn't want to put much money into this, so it isn't anything fancy, but I love seeing other people's work spaces and organization, so I thought I would share anyways. Also, this is my blog, so I can do whatever the hell I want! huzzah.

Also, if you'd like to play a little game, try to count all of the Harry-Potter related things I have in this room. I'll tell you at the end, if its not too embarrassing.

The desk on the right is more of a vanity, with all of my makeup, paints, and art supplies. I ruined the finish on it ages ago, so I'm not worried about ruining it with my messes. The desk in the middle is strictly for my computer, but we'll see how long I enforce my own rule. I have a lot more storage right now than I've ever had in my life, so I'm still not entirely sure what to do with all these drawers, but I'll figure it out eventually (in another 6 months, probably. haha).

The tally of (visible) Harry Potter related things is at 6, not including the poster on the door that you can't really see. I think that means there is room for more ;)

  1. So pretty! And your to-read list looks very similar to mine!

  2. Your new office looks amazing! I'd love to have a space like that to work in. I usually just set myself up at the kitchen table :/ lol.

  3. Beautiful!!! I love your new office space! I have just been working on mine the other day and the only thing missing from it at the moment is a huge Billy bookshelf from IKEA (yes, I am an IKEA gal as well...) I love your "books to read" board! That is a brilliant idea!!!

  4. Nothing wrong with anything Harry Potter related. Ever.:)

Have you gotten around to reading The Casual Vacancy? I read it a few years and am interested on your take?

  5. Looks beautiful! My list of books to read is SOO long, I'd need 3 chalkboards! Enjoy :] xo

  6. Loved this post! I am obsessed with seeing other people's work spaces/interior and inspiration etc etc ! Where is the shelving unit from ? Ikea? x

  7. I think I saw all 6.. is that a time turner, right there? Pretty!

  8. yep! It was from Ikea, and it was super easy to put together :)

  9. Haha, I need more! Any recommendations?

  10. Not yet! I'm finishing up two right now, and then will start it next. I'm so excited!

  11. Thanks so much Jana! If I had the money those giant Billy book cases with the glass doors would totally take up an entire wall, but....I can't afford that! haha, something to work towards I guess :)

  12. It is a time turner! its made of plastic so I don't wear it, but I would love a mini metal version to actually wear.

I would love to hear what you think! Comments make my day and I try my best to reply to every single one via email response :)
