Travel Tuesday: Nova Scotia
In June, 3 of my friends and I took a road trip from Ottawa, Ontario to Westpoint, PEI. We stopped along the way on the trip there in Halifax, Nova Scotia to explore the city and get a feel for the maritime city lifestyle. We also brought a little friend along with us - Gregory the gnome was a wonderful travel companion. We took photos of him pretty much everywhere, and thankfully didn't lose him.
Our first stop in Nova Scotia was the town of Peggy's cove, where they have a pretty famous lighthouse. The little town itself is adorable, but admittedly very touristy. All the houses were brightly painted, and there were many lovely gift stores on the way to the main attraction. I think I may have visited here once as a child, but I definitely don't remember it.
We also visited the Halifax public gardens while we were there, which were absolutely incredible! They had so many pretty flowers, ponds, and even little gardens that were designed into shapes, animals, and patterns. There was one that was a dragon, which was really cool! It was a great place to relax or take photos....There were definitely a few bridal parties there taking wedding photos.
Next week I'll share photos from Prince Edward Island! Stay tuned :)
