Camping Life

If you're wondering where I've been the last few weeks, I've been traveling quite a bit with very limited internet connection (the best kind of traveling!) for the last two weeks. Two weekends ago a rather large group of friends went camping on lake schooner, a two hour drive and then two hour canoe ride away. It took a lot of planning and at times such a large group felt like it would never come together, but in the end everything worked out! We stayed for three nights, and had so much fun canoeing, swimming, exploring and eating.

Since this was interior camping, we could bring very little as everything had to be packed into canoes. There was no running to the closest town to get something should he have forgotten it. My boyfriend and I being the only two vegetarians, I basically meal-planned and made everything for us in advance so that all we had to do was throw our food on the fire grill or use a kettle. The food actually worked out perfectly, which was great! Anyways, enough jibber-jabber...here are some photos!

I debated for a while as to whether I was going to bring my DSLR, but when somebody with a dry-barrel said I could put it in theirs to transport, I knew I had to bring it to get some epic night shots. Stay tuned for those soon ;)
