Guest Post: How to OOTD like a pro.

Good morning! Today I have a special guest on the blog, sharing with us some of her best and most serious tips for achieving the perfect OOTD. Christine from Christine everyday is hilarious, and I love her take on what makes the perfect outfit post. Not gunna lie, I'm totally guilty of Number two!

I am not a fashion blogger, nor do I claim to be a fashion blogger. But in the two years that I have been blogging, I have learned a thing or two about OOTD (outfit of the day, for the uninitiated) pictures from bloggers that are fashion bloggers. So I'm here today to tell you how to take the best OOTD pictures that you can.

Location, Location, Location
For an OOTD picture, location is everything. As you can see, I chose to take these photos in front of brush piles in my yard. I think it adds that special small-town touch to my photos, and really forces the on-looker to gaze at my outfit. Nothing says "pay attention the clothes" more than a pile of dead tree limbs.

Never Look at the Camera
It's really important that you never look like you're interested in the OOTD pictures that you're taking. Always look away from the camera and gaze at something outside the frame. This way, you appear distant and cool at all times.

Never Smile
See above. You can never look interested in your outfit of the day pictures. That's just not cool.

Posing Makes Perfect
Be sure to select some interesting poses for your pictures. Leaning up against something is always a good choice, or you can opt for the ever-popular staring-at-your-feet routine. And when you are crossing your legs while standing, it's a good idea to look at your feet anyway, to make sure they are still firmly planted on the ground.

Do you take OOTD pictures? What are your best tips?
